Renewal of Working Permits 2014

Renewal of Working Permits 2014
Every year Ive noticed that all working citizens here in San Fernando La Union are required to renew their working permits. So here I am again on my every year mantra on renewing my working permits. Sigh!
To be honest, I really dont get to see the point why we were required yearly to renew everything down to the Cedula, Barangay Clearance, Police Clearance, Working Permit, and Health Permit (including the Stool, Urine, X-ray and Drug Test). Can somebody please enlighten me?  While in other cities if you are going to work or if you are about to ask them, for example in Baguio City where my father currently works and in Manila where my best friend works they are not required to renew their permits every year so I was shocked why the hell do we have to renew our permits yearly? A big question came out of my mind; I keep on asking “Why?” Because you know I am so fed up with these every year routine, it is a waste of time and a big waste of money also. For a working student, it is a waste for I have to budget my salary for my everyday schooling. For me that was a big deal, because instead of paying my tuition fee because Midterms is fast approaching and I had to earn money for our Thesis Defense I was forced to renew first my working permits before paying my tuition fee. And I just wonder where the hell those payments for the Working Permits go? Where did the government of the San Fernando City, La Union spend those cash? Is it for the maintenance of our City or is it put inside the pockets of those government Officials? Pork Barrel? We all know that Corruption is a widespread virus that is residing in our Community and I wonder when this corruption will stop. Or will it ever be stop? Well, I am just saying my own opinion about how I am purely against the Renewal of Working Permits.  How I wish that we dont have to renew those permits yearly because it is such a waste of money for us who are trying to make both ends meet.

These are the steps I have undergone in renewing the working permits:
First, I went to our barangay to get a Barangay Clearance which cost P20.00 then,
I hurriedly went to the City Hall to get a Cedula. Good thing that my workmate LJ told me that I could get a discount if I would ask for a student’s cedula which only cost P5.00 than the regular cedula which costs P25.00

Then I went to the back window I cant remember what window that was, because there were a lot of windows which is very confusing I had the assessment then I went back at window 3 for the payments and I was really pissed off for they let me go back and forth at the back window for there was a mistake in the assessment which is very time consuming and irritating because I was in a hurry for I still have my classes. I paid P265.00 here for the Police Clearance, Health Card, Documentary Stamp and Mayors Permit. Then I rode a tricycle to reach the Police Station located at Tanqui for my Police Clearance

And finally I got my Police Clearance Permit; I had nothing bad to say against the Police for they were very friendly and accommodating unlike the Government Staffs at the City Hall which were very rude. I was even ignored at Window 3 at the City Hall the window where you had to pay the assessment for the Police Clearance, Health Card and etcetera. I wish that there staff were as friendly as the Policeman at Tanqui.
Then I went at Lorma Life Check which is located in front of DMMMSU-MLUC. I was thankful that they had their promo for the OJT Students so I got a discount for my Urine, Stool and X-ray for only P250.00 unlike my other workmates who paid P250.00 just for the X-ray at Bethany, and P60.00 each for their Stool and Urine.
And after 30minutes I guess I received a text message from Lorma Life Check which says that I can already get the results of my Stool and Urine. There service was fast I didnt wait for hours or so. The Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
This is my Health Card Permit, after completing the Stool, Urine and X-ray. I felt lucky for they didnt look or require me to get a drug test because my other workmates were ask to get first a drug test before they can get their yellow card. But I think it was because I went there almost at their Closing time nearly 4:55PM because I still had my class so that was only my free time that is why they were in a hurry in signing up my Health Permit so maybe they didnt noticed that I dont have a drug test. But our manager told me that we werent required to get a drug test.
Then finally, the last step in the renewal of Working Permits for the year 2014 my Mayors Permit or Working Permit.

Whitening Pack Peel-Off Mask

Whitening Pack
Peel-Off Mask
I am still desperately searching for the product that can make my skin smooth that is why I came across this Peel-Off Mask which was introduced by my older sister. My curiosity went up when I saw her the other day applying this Peel-Off Mask. I really want to give it a try that is why I found myself buying the pack which I accidentally saw at 7eleven. It is a product from iWhite Whitening Pack; it is a mask that effectively strips off all kinds of impurities. It contains natural active ingredients and Vitamins A, C, E & B5 that helps lighten skin discoloration. Soothes and revitalizes tired skin, prevents premature aging and slows down the rate of free-radical damage. It contains Mulberry Root Extract, Aloe Vera leaf extract and Panax Ginseng Root Extract. iWhite Whitening Pack is refined by Bio-Nanotechnology which gives ingredients increased potency in order to effectively take care of your skin. Visible results can be seen immediately for an instantly brighter, clearer and smoother skin.

How to Use?
After washing face, apply a generous amount of the Whitening Pack on the face and spread evenly while avoiding the eyes and mouth area. And wait for 15 minutes until it dries then peel off upward starting from the chin. But for me I even let it stay for 15 minutes and longer until it really dries for easier removal of the mask. For best results, use 2-4 times a week with other iWhite Skincare Products.
Likes:
It has a cold soothing effect when applied on the face, very relaxing effect.
Dislikes:
Remnants of the mask are still seen so it is not advisable to use it in the morning. Sometimes it’s hard to peel due to the short hairs on the face.
Price:
Only P22.00 per pack, available at SM Baguio Watsons, Mercury Drug Stores and 7eleven.

People Face Tradeoffs

As an Economic Student of econ101 I am about to blog on our assignment about the first principle of economics which states how: "People face tradeoffs". Credits to Mr. Robert Liwag our Econ Instructor.

Work vs. Education
Work vs Education
As a working student I have to manage my time between my work and my studies.
Because If I focus too much on work I will not be able to study well my
on the deadline. I was not able to wake up early which is why I often go to sc
lessons, I will not be able to submit the given assignments and project shool late. But at least I have earned the enough money for my allowance and for my
ever maybe due to stress from work and school. (andame kong stress! stress ka
tuition fee. But unfortunately, many people noticed that I am getting skinnier than na nga sa school sa mga assignments, projects, instructors, classmates and boyfriend tapos stress ka pa din pagdating sa work, mga managers, nakakastress
s why I have to work overtime sometimes. But most of the time it pissed m
din mga customers na maarte, puro customer complain! sino ba namang hindi papayat? diba?) I need money for my daily allowance and for my tuition fee that ie off because I get tired with my daily routine School-Work, Work-School it felt like I need to take a breather, I need to unwind myself to remove stress. That is
why I've realized that you really can't get both things at the same time
there's always a tradeoff.
Love vs. Friends
Love vs Friends
Which is greater Love or Friendship? Which is which? It’s hard when your friends and your boy don’t get along with each other. Until there came a point in time when I was asked to chose between the two. There was a tradeoff; I was torn between friends and the love of my life. If I chose the first one it would mean the loss of my social life, the friendship and the bonds that we had. But if I chose the other one it could break my heart. Well, as what they have said you can't get both things at the same time, so I made a decision and chose the first one. So now I spend less with my friends and almost lost my social life. But I spend more quality time with the love of my life. J

VICTORIAS SECRET LOVE SPELL LOTION

VICTORIA’S SECRET
LOVE SPELL
Cherry blossom & peach
Fleur de cerisier et peche

I think I've found the best lotion suited for my skin which I was about to blog it's Victoria's Secret Love Spell. It is a 250ml/8.4 fl oz hydrating body lotion with cherry blossom and peach. I so love it's parfum and how my skin feels soft, smooth and touchable unlike any other lotions. I tried NIVEA body lotion and didn't like it as much, which is why I am now switching to Love Spell. I love how Love Spell reduces the roughness from my skin.
I bet it's fragrance came from it's Aloe, Oat and Grapeseed extracts. It has a fast absorbing formula plus antioxidant Vitamins E and C. Actually I do not know how much this product cost because it was just given to me by my ahjooma as a birthday gift. (ahjooma=aunt) My boyfriend loves the smell of my skin because of my Love Spell Lotion, it has a strong fragrance which you cannot resists. I don't need to spray perfume anymore because of Love Spell. How about you? What is the best lotion for you? Have you found the lotion suited for your skin?

Packaging:
The packaging is good. The print does not easily fade.

Acne-Treatment
Benzoyl Peroxide
BenzacÒ AC

Benzoyl Peroxide; generic name BenzacÒ AC is a Keratolytic Gel it is an effective solution for treating Acne.(“AC” are the initials for Acrylates Copolymer beads which act to absorb oil and release glycerin to moisturize dry/irritated skin.) This product was introduced by my umma, she started using this Benzoyl when she was working abroad at Saudi Arabia and she told me that it was an effective remedy for treating Acne. (umma=mother)
So I started using Benzac and I was really glad for it really help minimized my acne’s. Each g contains benzoyl peroxide 50mg in a water base gel.

Acne-Aid Cleansing Bar

Acne-Aid
CLEANSING BAR

We all know that acne had been a major problem for some teenagers. And it had been a major problem for me too. It started when I was in 3rd year High School when pimples started to ruin my life (laughs). It ruined my soft and smooth face; pimples came like a nightmare to me. I tried using different products, I tried using Ponds because that was what my nunna was using and it was effective for her but unfortunately not for me. [nunna=sister]  I even tried using dalasinsi or whatever that was called; I also tried beauche, CY Gabriel, Maxi Peel, Master Facial, Myra E300, Celeteque, Kojic, Kojie-san, and many other products that that was introduced to me and many more that I couldn’t remember any longer. I think my pimples loved me so much that they never wanted to leave me. Sigh!
I felt like giving up because I almost tried various products and still my pimples won’t disappear so easily. Do you know that feeling when you almost lost your self-confidence? I felt so ashamed whenever someone noticed how many pimples I have, how reddish they were, It felt like could I just disappear somewhere in time so that they could no longer notice me, could I just pop like a bubble in the air? I wanted to try facial specially the Diamond Peel but I changed my mind after reading those negative comments and blogs about the Diamond Peel from the internet for I’ve found out after doing some research in the Google that only 2 out of 5 women agreed that through Diamond Peel had achieve the beauty they were aiming for. And the rest are regretting because it only made their face swollen and worst of all their pimples multiply, it only made things worst. Based on what I have read about Diamond Peel, it is like an abrasion minor surgery; because they will peel your skin and you have to complete the 6 or 7 Sessions if I’m not mistaken. You have to complete those sessions in order to achieve the beauty you want. And failure to complete those sessions will lead to a nightmare. And according to what I have read, every Diamond Peel Session is very expensive, the price is around Php1200 per session and you have to do the session every after 4weeks. So I disregarded engaging in Diamond Peel. I even hated my umma for her genes because I think I inherited her genes because my umma way back in her teenage life had a problem on her face too, her face was oily and pimple prone too. [umma=mom] Do you know that feeling, when you’re feeling ugly because someone told you that he pitied you because there was no space for new pimples on your face? I know that it was a joke but we all know that all jokes are half-meant true. And that was so depressing for me not until my nunna introduced me this Acne-Aid Cleansing Bar. Acne-Aid is a balanced blend of a gentle degreasing agent and effective cleansers that help cleanse the skin gently and thoroughly. Due to its highly effective cleansing power, Acne-Aid Bar is very useful in acne and oily skin conditions. Acne-Aid Bar contains no perfume, coloring or abrasives; it may be used safely with any other medications. And it is recommended by dermatologist worldwide.

How to Use?
Use warm water and massage the creamy lather into the skin. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry, use 2 to 3 times daily or as directed by physician.
Likes:
It is soft and smooth while massaging the creamy lather onto the skin. It was like dove soap.
Dislikes:
It is expensive
Price:
I forgot the exact price but it’s around Php186.00 if I’m not mistaken. Acne-Aid is available in any Mercury Drug Stores.
Recommend?
Definitely yes, for it had a good effect on my face it had minimize my pimples and most of my workmates noticed how my face had improved. But I don’t only use soap for I was also using Eskinol Baby Face together with Benzoyl Peroxide Keratolytic Gel to achieve the natural beauty I was aiming for.

Veet Hair Removal Cream

Veet
Hair Removal Cream
Finally I’ve found the best solution to remove some of my unwanted hair and it is proven to work even on, very short hair. On my recent product review about Watson’s Facial Wax Strips, You can read my review about it here. "http://summerscentdays.blogspot.com/2013/11/watsons-facial-wax-strips-facial-wax.html" Unfortunately, I’ve found out that it doesn’t work on very short hair and you’ll find yourself hurting after stripping the wax strips. This is why I was really glad when I came across with Veet Hair Removal Cream. It is very easy to use you just have to apply the cream covering the area you want to remove and just wait for a minimum of 5minutes until hair removal was successful.
Veet’s formula is effective no matter how long or short the hair is, including very short hair. It is designed for use on legs, arms, underarms & bikini line, but not suitable for use on the face, head, breast, perianal or genital areas or on any body parts. (But I use it in the face on my upper lip, and I found no adverse reaction so I think it is safe to use) It can remove unwanted hair with a minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 10. Take note not to exceed 10 minutes in application time. Hence, it is designed for sensitive skin; its formula is enriched with Aloe Vera & Vitamin E.

Texture:
Non-sticky unlike Facial Wax Strips
Sometimes it was itchy so if ever you experience any tingling during use, remove the cream immediately and rinse thoroughly with water. If this sensation persists please seek medical advice.

Smell:
Smells like Aloe Vera

Likes:
Available in Mercury Drug Stores (easy to find)
Easy to use and it works even on very short hair

How to use?
Apply directly onto the skin, spreading the cream evenly to fully cover the hair.

How much do you need?
Just apply the right amount of cream, just enough to cover the area. Leave the cream on the skin for 5 minutes.
Gently use the head of the spatula to test a small area.
If hair comes away easily, remove the rest of the cream with the spatula. If you feel you have more stubborn or thick hair, I recommend leaving the cream on a little longer, up to, but NOT EXCEEDING than 10 MINUTES in total.
Rinse skin thoroughly with water after use and dry.

Watsons Facial Wax Strips

Watsons- Facial Wax Strips

Facial Wax Strips
I was looking for something to remove some unwanted hair so I came up with Watsons Facial Wax Strips which I bought at SM Baguio Watsons. You can use it for face and under arm. It has 12 easy to use Wax strips and 2pcs of after wax finish wipes.
Glamworks Facial Wax Strips are quick, convenient and gentle way to easily remove unwanted hair that will last up to 4 weeks. It is safe for dry skin since it contains Shea Butter which nourishes the skin keeping it soft and smooth.
This product isn’t something I use every day. I only find myself grabbing it when I see some unwanted hair growing. But I found this product ineffective in removing some of my short hairs above my lips. But it can remove unwanted hair from the legs. This product is for those “balbunan” like me.

How to use this?
Rub the wax strip between your hands for 15 seconds then slowly peel the two strips apart. Apply one wax strip to the area you wish to remove hair. Then firmly rub the strip in the same direction your hair grows for 10 seconds, ensuring the strip is fixed on the skin. Pull the strips back on itself against the direction your hair grows, keeping the strip close to the skin as possible. Repeat as necessary. Use after Wax Finish wipes or baby oil to clean off Wax residue.
2 pcs after wax finish Wipes (you can also use baby oil as a subtitute)

Packaging:
The packaging is very convenient. The wax strips are placed inside a plastic.

Texture:
Wax strips are sticky. I normally throw it after usage. I think it is expensive because you cannot use it any longer after usage. I can’t use this product as I find myself hurting while striping the unwanted hair.

Likes:
It can easily remove unwanted hair from legs but not from face (short hairs)

Dislikes:
Greasy
It does not work on very short hair.
Doesn’t remove unwanted hair from face (actually it did not work for my hair above my upper lip)
It really hurts while stripping those unwanted hair

Price:
I already forgot the price but I think it’s around 100+ or so.
